Minna & Will

What could any one of us every really fucking hope for, huh? Except a moment here and there with a person doesn’t want to rob, steal or murder us. At night, or mayhap sun-up one perched against the fucking wall, the other mayhap on the fucking bed, trusting each other enough to tell half the fucking truth. Everybody needs that, it becomes precious to them….
— Al Swaerengen

Our dear friends Minna and Will have set their flag together on the map of life with a very nice intimate ceremony out near Three Fathoms Cove at One-Thirty One. Henry and I were honoured to have been invited and enjoyed the event enormously, but enough about us. To the happy couple, may you life long and prosper together, may your every wish become true, and may you find your own way to make love stay. But then again…

Love is the ultimate outlaw. It just won’t adhere to any rules. The most any of us can do is to sign on as its accomplice. Instead of vowing to honor and obey, maybe we should swear to aid and abet. That would mean that security is out of the question. The words “make” and “stay” become inappropriate. My love for you has no strings attached. I love you for free. — Tom Robbins

Home Cookin.

This time round (with Ugly American) Henry has taken to cooking simple suppers for me almost every night I work. Henry is a good home cook, and enjoys experimenting in the kitchen, so I am always assured of tasty, properly cooked, and interesting dinners. However there is a secret ingredient to any meal prepared at home by a loved one. It is the seasoning of the personal relationship, and it makes every texture more vivid, every taste more pleasant, and every bite more delicious. So whenever you can cook for someone you love.
